Minutes

Chair, Sue B called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm with the Unity Declaration.
Secretary called the role. Present were Sue B., Ann J., Cathy R., Jill K., John H., Katie L., Mary Jo, Mike K., Steve G., and Amy H.
Secretary called for a motion to waive the reading of the minutes of the August District 4 meeting. Steve
called the motion, seconded by Katie. Motion passed.


DCM report: Sue B.

  1. Next GSR Coffee hour is scheduled for November 6. All GSRs, Alt GSR’s or home group members
    interested in General Service are encouraged to attend.
  2. Battle of the Bowls!!! – District 4 Chili Cook Off and Day of Sharing – October 21. All groups in District 4
    are invited to participate in our first annual Chili Cook Off and Day of Sharing. All members of AA will be
    invited to attend a day of fun, food and inspiration. In addition to our food and fellowship, we will have a
    panel on the importance of GSRs in the AA General Service Structure.
  3. The Area Ad Hoc Inventory Implementation Committee is meeting virtually on October 11, October 25,
    November 8, November 22, December 6 and December 20. Meeting ID – 812 0138 1467, Passcode
  4. If you want to provide input, you can attend the Committee meetings or contact the Committee
    Chair Brian B at p72treasurer@area50 wny.org.
  5. District 4 elections for Panel 74 will be held at our October meeting – October 10, 2023.

    Sue also mentioned the Binder Project being initiated by the District Committee to provide a resource binder
    to each district.
    Attached to the minutes is the final District 4 reimbursement policy.
    Treasurer Report: Steve G.
    Groups have been sending contributions and we are keeping ahead of our expenses.

CPC Report: Dave N.
Hello all. I have been CPC rep for District 4 this past year. I am unable to attend tonight’s meeting. I can report that in the past month CPC made presentations of AA to staff at Cazenovia Recovery Systems and Horizon.

PIC Report: Ann J.
PIC efforts continue with bus tails through December 25th. Tables at UB and Buff State are running as well. If anyone would like to volunteer, please phone 716-867-0938.

Old Business:
The District 4 Day of Sharing/Chili Cookoff is set for October 21 at St. Andrews from 2-5.
We are good with supplies and a comedian is lined up as well as the GSR panel.
We should be able to enter the church hall at 12:30 to set up and the custodian has assured us that the
electrical should be able to handle the crock pots with no issue.


New Business:
District 4 Panel 74 – Elections – DCM, Alt-DCM, secretary
Treasurer – Steve G has agreed to stand for Treasurer.
The meeting was closed with the Responsibility Declaration at 7:39.
